You can’t move for budget mobile phones these days and LG is set to continue the trend with another addition to its popular youth-orientated Cookie range. The LG Cookie Fresh GS290 doesn’t exactly set our mouths watering spec-wise, lacking a 3G connection and offering a measly 2-megapixel camera.
But the 3-inch touchscreen, 3.5mm headphone slot, FM radio and social networking functions should satisfy the casual user. It looks like we’ll be seeing a range of colour options too, with pink, black, blue, grey and yellow all making appearances in press shots available on LG’s Korean Flickr page.
The chaps over at TechRadar are reporting that the handset will be available in the UK in early April, so keep your eyes peeled around then if the Cookie Fresh sounds like your cup of tea.
