LG’s curved smartphone smiles for the camera

We caught a glimpse of LG’s curved smartphone last week, and now the phone has made an appearance in real life. Telefe, an Argentinian broadcaster, managed to get its hands on the device, sharing some pictures with The Verge in the process.

Just like rumours suggested, LG is going for more of a bananaphone approach. But just like the G2, the power and volume buttons will be located on the back – probably to keep things as slim as possible. The G Flex is said to have a 6-inch 1080p display, and the camera is 13-megapixels, just like the G2, Galaxy Note 3, and Galaxy Round.

Samsung confined the Galaxy Round to South Korea, and it sounds like LG will do the same thing with the G Flex. Telefe tells The Verge that LG only has plans to launch the phone in its home country right now, so If you’re jonesing for a curved smartphone, you’ll simply have to try and import one.
