LG X Power in a nutshell: UK specs, price and release date

LG just launched three new mid-range X-Series mobile phones over in Korea, including the 5.3-inch LG X Power, which boasts a massive 4100mAh battery. Here’s everything we know so far about the LG X Power’s specs, features, UK price and release date.

What is the LG X Power?

LG’s X-Series mobile phones are simple mid-range handsets that boast a single stand-out feature; for example, the LG X Screen packs a smaller secondary screen for notifications, while the LG X Cam is aimed at anyone after an affordable but dependable camera.

And now LG has launched three new LG X-Series mobiles to add to that list: the LG X Power, the LG X Skin (a.k.a. the X Style) and the LG X5. The LG X Power’s bonus feature is its massive battery.

What are the LG X Power’s specs?

The LG X5 Power is a 5.3-inch smartphone with a 720p HD screen. A 1.3GHz quad-core processor (chipset unknown) powers the X Power, backed by 2GB of RAM, which should hopefully provide some reliable mid-range performance. Android 6.0 Marshmallow is overlaid with LG’s UX interface, which adds extra features such as Knock Code. You also get a 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front-facing snapper.

However, the LG X Power’s stand-out feature is its 4100mAh battery, which bumps the phone’s thickness to a meaty 7.9mm. That should hopefully provide a solid two days of battery life between charges.

Do we know the UK price and release date of the LG X Power?

We’re not sure if the LG X Power will officially be released in the UK. Given the specs, we’d hope for a price around £150, to keep the X Power competitive. And as the phone has launched in Korea, we’re hoping for a release date around July to September.

We’ll update with more LG X5 specs and news when we have it.
