London goes Hailo crazy as tubes shut down

London’s travel misery has been Hailo’s joy, as the taxi company reports an even greater demand than last New Year’s Eve.

While London’s public transport network flounders, cab company Hailo is celebrating its best day ever in the UK capital.

London’s tube network has completely shut down thanks to strike action, forcing beleagured commuters to resort to walking, biking or scootering to work instead of cramming themselves onto a roasting sweatbox, where they usually enjoy a short and pleasant journey inhaling fellow humans’ BO and fart gas.

Many London workers decided to raise the finger to exercise and catch a cab to work this morning instead, resulting in a 500 percent increase in pre-booked Hailo taxis. Apparently that’s double the demand of last New Year’s Eve, and presumably there will be a lot less vomit and fried chicken remnants for drivers to clean up afterwards.
