Lovefilm has announced that its bringing its video streaming service to LG’s line of Smart TVs in the UK. Boasting over 70,000 titles, the app will arrive on LG Smart TVs later this year, including the Google TV, announced at CES.

The app will allow you to manage your rental lists, search for new movies and read reviews. Using LG’s Magic Motion Remote, you’ll be able to flick through your lists with gestures and movements (a la Wii Motion Plus) instead of using buttons.

With every new platform launch we take another step towards our goal of being available to as many people, in as many ways as possible.”

You can already watch rented movies online with the Lovefilm Player on your desktop, through your Xbox 360 (with your Windows Phone) and PS3 and there’s iOS and Android apps as well.

Head of LG Smart TV Stacey Seltzer said: “We are very excited to add Amazon’s Lovefilm to the already extensive range of content on LG’s Smart TV platform.
