More Facebook phones en route?

If the INQ and HTC Facebook phones weren’t exciting enough then how about this little bit of speculation.

In an official blog post, Facebook’s Charles Wu has promised “deep Facebook integration on dozens of other devices over the course of this year. Some manufacturers will be highlighting Facebook as a part of their phone’s on-screen interfaces, and others will use our brand as an element of the device hardware itself.”

So it looks like the Facebook brand is going to be appearing on plenty more mobile phones then. Better integration is going to be key to the new Facebook mobile approach as the social network implements more functionality in devices.

The idea is that Facebook is going to be available in multiple forms on every mobile. We have already seen things like the Snaptu Facebook for feature phones and the Gemalto Facebook for SIM which doesn’t require data connections.

“we also launched 0.facebook.com as a faster and free way for people to access Facebook around the world, including locations where connectivity is especially costly and slow.”

The recently announced Facebook phones both promise “one touch” access to all your Facebook activity and friends.

“We believe almost anything is better when it’s social, and this year we’ll continue to invest in new technologies so you have a great Facebook experience no matter where you go.”
