Motorola’s Moto G2 should launch in a month

Motorola’s follow-up to the mighty Moto G and Moto G 4G, two of the best-value phones we’ve ever seen, could be launched on September 10th in the UK.

Our jaws are a little sore from harping on about how good the Motorola Moto G and Moto G 4G are (we even argued that the 4G model is a serious rival for the biggest flagship smartphones). But that won’t stop us dribbling with excitement at the news that the Moto G2 is set to launch in the UK next month. September 10th to be exact, with a €250 price tag, according to a leak via an unnamed retailer.

Motorola Moto G2 due to launch in the UK in September 2014

So far, thanks to various other leaks, we know that Motorola hasn’t gone nuts with the design, keeping a similar look for the new Moto G2. However, the processor has been brought up to date for 2014, while the 5-megapixel camera has apparently been boosted to an 8-megapixel snapper.

It’s the camera that we’re most excited about, as the original Moto G’s shooter was one of the few weak points. It was still decent enough for your everyday shots, but some of our photos had a soft, hazy quality and the flash performance wasn’t great.

Are you excited about the new Motorola Moto G2 too? Let us know in the comments below.
