Motorola Xoom gets price-cut at Amazon, Android Honeycomb for under £400

The first Android tablet to run Google’s tablet-centric Android Honeycomb, the Motorola Xoom has had its price slashed online.

Down from £480 to just under £395, that’s a substantial saving on the WiFi-only, 32GB Motorola Xoom.

10.1-inch tablet packs a  rear-facing five-megapixel camera, capable of 720p high-definition video, which can also be shared to bigger screens with a HDMI connection.

So far, Android-powered tablets haven’t caught on like Apple’s iPad, with a patchy performance, we were a bit underwhelmed when we reviewed the Xoom.

Whether incoming tablets like the Optimus Pad and Galaxy Tab 10.1 can reverse the trend remains to be seen, but we wouldn’t be surprised if the price continues to tumble….
