Uber-cheap Nokia Lumia 530 hits UK on September 4th

Nokia’s latest great-value Windows Phone 8.1 smartphone, the Lumia 530, will go on sale in the UK on September 4th for the tempting price of just £60. Here’s where you can buy it.

Nokia launched its cheapest ever smartphone last month, the fully-featured Lumia 530 which packs full Windows Phone 8.1, and now we’ve heard that you can pick up one of these great-value mobiles on September 4th for just £60 here in the UK.

Nokia Lumia 530 hits UK in September 2014 for the price of £60

The cheapest smartphone to run Windows Phone 8.1, the Nokia Lumia 530 packs some decent specs for that low price. The 4-inch LCD screen might not be ultra-sharp, but we’re hoping that it’s colourful enough to bring your photos to life, and the quad-core SnapDragon 200 processor should handle Microsoft’s OS without much bother.

There’s a microSD memory card slot to carry around a massive media collection, and a 5-megapixel camera to shoot your life.

And like the rest of Nokia’s current range, from the premium Lumia 930 down to the affordable Lumia 630, the Lumia 530 comes in a range of funky colours. We personally love the bright orange model, but there’s a certain charm to the ectoplasm green too. And if you’re a bit of a stony-faced fun-killer, you can always opt for the white or black versions.

The Nokia Lumia 530 can be snatched up on September 4th from O2, EE, Vodafone, Three, Phones 4u and Carphone Warehouse.
