Nokia picks up Tesco Grocery app for Ovi

Tesco has just launched its mobile grocery service exclusively on Nokia’s Ovi Store, a month before it arrives on any other mobile platform. The Tesco Grocery app allows you to shop for fruit and veg (as well as other food items) on your Nokia phone. You can order items and schedule deliveries from your phone in the same was as you would when logging into Tesco.com from your computer.

You can start an order on your computer or your phone and finish on the other. So you could start putting your shopping list together from your computer on your lunchbreak and then complete it from your phone later on, or vice versa. If you’ve registered your Tesco Clubcard online then you can put together shopping lists based on your exisitng Clubcard purchase histories.

The Tesco Grocery app joins Tesco’s Clubcard app on the Ovi Store. The Tesco Clubcard app allows you to use your Nokia phone in place of your normal Tesco Clubcard by displaying a scannable barcode on the screen. Both apps are free and are available to download from the Ovi Store now.
