How does it differ from the standard Samsung Galaxy S3?

Samsung has dreamt up all manner of ways in which to promote its Olympic credentials using the S3 and its various accessories. In Taiwan, prospective buyers can choose from two special edition London 2012 S3 hard cases, whilst at the special Samsung PIN stores in the UK, there’s a unique flip case adorned with London landmarks, but now we have two new offerings from Carphone Warehouse.

In a display of support for Team GB this Olympics, you can pick up either colour of the Galaxy S3 (Marble White or Pebble Blue) from the mobile retailer complete with a specially designed back cover. The white version offers an attractive graphic of the Team GB lion, whilst the blue S3 sports a worn Union Jack image.

Buyers will also be given the stock back cover if they prefer to only show their support for a limited time, allowing them to switch their S3s back to the stock look at any point.

How much will it cost?

The handset will be available for free from £28 per month on a two year contract, with tariffs available on Vodafone, Orange, O2, T-Mobile, Talk Mobile and Three’s networks.

When will it be available?

If you’re interested in picking up this special piece of techy Olympic memorabilia, you’ll have to wait until next at which point it will become available from Carphone Warehouse from August 1st.
