Samsung Genio Touch: What’s in the box?

We’re having a play with the Samsung Genio Touch this week, and thought we’d give you a little look before we publish our review. Click on for a nosy through the box and a closer look at the handset itself.

Like all the Genio phones, the Touch comes with interchangeable backs so we can match it to our mood – as long as our mood involves pink, apparently. You can get the handset in other feature colours: yellow, orange and white. Other delights awaiting us in the box were the headphones, a 3.5mm headphone jack adapter, manuals from Samsung and Vodafone, and the phone charger.

Here’s the menu screen which you can swipe through without any lag. The screen feels bigger than its 2.8-inches and is nice and bright.

We can’t for the life of us figure out why Samsung decided to make the camera fascia red, which clashes horrendously with pink. Black would have been more sensible.

Even with the black back panel on, it still looks wrong. It’s a 2-megapixel camera with 4x digital zooom.

The handset is fairly slim, and the pink buttons you can see in the photo are the camera and key-lock buttons. On first go, the camera button is a bit central for our liking, we’d prefer it more on the right.
