OnePlus 2 specs fully leaked by retailer

Online retailer Oppomart seems to have posted up its OnePlus 2 page prematurely, revealing intricate details about the OnePlus 2’s screen, camera and other features.

Update: Now read our full OnePlus 2 review

According to the website, the new OnePlus 2 will rock a mighty 5.7-inch 2k screen, producing supremely crisp 571 pixels-per-inch images. Definitely one for movie fans and gamers, then. You get either 16 or 64GB of space to carry around your media collection, and there’s a microSD card slot to expand.

As expected, the OnePlus 2 will also pack in a hopefully-improved Snapdragon 810 chipset. Apparently this new model won’t overheat in the same terrifying fashion as the original, which already caused big issues with the Sony Xperia Z3+. You get 3GB of RAM too, so Android Lollipop should run like a dream.

The OnePlus 2’s camera is a 16-megapixel snapper using Sony’s Exmor IMX 234 sensor, which should prove dependable in all kinds of situations. For selfies you have a 5-megapixel front-facer.

Rounding up the specs is a 3300mAh battery and of course you get full 4G support.

However, there is one strange omission from the Oppomart listing. There’s no mention at all of the OnePlus 2’s fingerprint scanner, which OnePlus already boasted was better than the iPhone’s Touch ID. So, will the leaked specs be on the money, or just a load of old hoo-hah? We personally reckon it’s on the money, and we’ll report the official specs in full when the phone launches at the end of the month, in a snazzy VR ceremony.
