OnePlus has just announced two new black models of its five-star OnePlus 3T mobile masterpiece; the Midnight Black version and a limited edition Colette branded handset. Here’s all you need to know about the two new black OnePlus 3T handsets, including how to get one of your own and how much it costs.
What is the new Midnight Black OnePlus 3T and is it different to the gold and gunmetal models?
The Midnight Black version of the OnePlus 3T features a seriously dark new appearance, to suit those with darker impulses (or who simply enjoy a complete lack of colour). That black surfacing stretches around the entire handset, although you get the same matte metal finish on the rear. There’s no glossy black option, as there was with the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.
This mysterious new model is basically the same as the existing gunmetal grey and soft gold models of OnePlus 3T, except for that fresh new lick of paint. Specs remain the same, as does the camera tech, dimensions and other important stats.
However, the new black edition of OnePlus 3T also comes only with 128GB of storage as an option. There’s no 64GB model to speak of.
How can I get a Midnight Black OnePlus 3T in the UK?
O2 is the exclusive UK provider for the OnePlus 3T and that’s the only way you’ll get the Midnight Black model in this country. Head to O2’s OnePlus 3T page, where the black edition is available from £31 per month. That’s the same cost as the other 128GB OnePlus 3T models.
What is the black Colette limited edition OnePlus 3T and how is it different to the standard OnePlus 3T?
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Colette fashion boutique, and the general awesomeness of the OnePlus 3T, the two have teamed up to craft a special and very limited new black model of OnePlus’ flagship phone.
This limited edition OnePlus 3T is very similar to the Midnight Black model, but you get the Colette branding stamped on the back of the phone, if that floats your boat. And like the Midnight Black model, this version of the OnePlus 3T only comes with 128GB of storage.

How do I get a limited edition Colette OnePlus 3T and how much does it cost?
The only way to bag yourself one of these limited edition models is by heading to the Colette pop-up store in Paris, France on March 21. The store opens at 11am and can be found at:

You’ll need to cross all of your available appendages however, as only 250 of these Colette models have been manufactured.
The black Colette model will cost €479, so no more than the standard 128GB model of OnePlus 3T. And as an added incentive, OnePlus is offering a free set of Bullets V2 earphones to everyone who purchases the black model.
