OnePlus has officially revealed when the launch date for its latest flagship phone will happen. The London-based event will see the OnePlus 6 revealed to the world, and here’s how to watch it yourself. Either over the livestream, or in person.
When and where is the OnePlus 6 launch event taking place?
The OnePlus 6 global launch event is being held right here in London at 5pm BST, on May 16 2018.
How can I watch the OnePlus 6 launch event and catch up with all of the news?
You have three options for catching up with the OnePlus 6 news as the launch event unfolds.
OnePlus is hosting a livestream of the launch, which you can sign up for right now. This will allow you to tune in on your computer, smartphone or any other connected device and watch the launch in full.
Of course, Recombu will also be at the event, streaming our own hands-on coverage. And you can see our first impressions and feature dives over at the Recombu YouTube channel.
How can I attend the OnePlus 6 launch event?
Alternatively, OnePlus is also selling over 1,000 tickets to the community via its online store. If you manage to grab a ticket, you’ll be one of the first to get your sweaty mitts on the phone and try it out for yourself. You can also pre-order your OnePlus 6 right there and then, bagging yourself a mystery gift if you do. And once you’ve boogied the night away you’ll get an official OnePlus swag bag, whose value apparently exceeds the cost of the ticket.
Early Bird tickets are available right now and cost £16 (€18) each. This early bird discount will finish at 8pm BST on Friday April 27, at which point ticket prices rise to £30 each. However, if you buy a ‘Plus One’ ticket (in other words, you stump up for at least two tickets), the price will drop back down to £2o.
What do we know about the OnePlus 6 so far?
Quite a lot, actually. The specs have mostly been revealed, so we know it’s packing the latest Snapdragon 845 chipset. No big surprise. We also know that the OnePlus 6 will boast a bezel-free design with a iPhone X-style notch up top.
