OnePlus X: Unboxing and first impressions

OnePlus X unboxing and first look: Check out our video unboxing of the OnePlus X, a smaller 5-inch version of the OnePlus 2, and hear our first thoughts on the OnePlus X’s slim and light design, Oxygen OS and 13-megapixel camera.

The OnePlus X is a cheaper (from £199 here in the UK), more compact version of the recently-released OnePlus 2, with a cut-back processor (Snapdragon 801 vs the OnePlus 2’s Snapdragon 810), a dinkier screen (5-inches rather than 5.5-inches) and no fingerprint sensor.

Here’s what you can expect to find in the OnePlus X box and check out our full OnePlus X review

The OnePlus X is a likeable and pleasingly compact phone that’s comfortable to clutch one use one-handed, especially when compared with the slew of enormous flagship mobiles from 2015. The screen is bold and clear and the 13-megapixel camera could well be one of the biggest highlights, taking shots almost instantly as long as the lighting conditions are good.

You can buy the OnePlus X from November 19, but as usual you’ll unfortunately need an invite in order to purchase one. You can stick yourself on the OnePlus waiting list, or beg a friend for their invite if they have one going spare.
