Orange Stockholm: Wallet-friendly Android phone goes official

We’ve already got an exclusive hands-on with the Orange Stockholm last month, and now the cheerily wage-friendly Android smartphone has gone official at Orange’s online store.

Running Android Froyo 2.2, and a 2.8-inch touchscreen, we’ve been told that we can expect to see the Huawei-made Stockholm priced below the its stablemate, the Orange Barcelona.

Both will arrive with Orange’s Signal Boost service. Provided by Kineto Wireless, you can now boost your phone signal through your own wireless internet- all you need to do is download the app and you’re ready to go.

There’s also a 3.2-megapixel camera on the back, FM radio, WiFi connectivity, and all the other smartphone staples. The Stockholm looks set to go up against the likes of the Vodafone Smart and O2’s forthcoming Alcatel OT990, all pitched at the sub-£100 smartphone crowd.

No Stockholm release date available just yet, but we’re expecting its arrival sometime this summer.
