Palm bounces back: Two new phones and webOS 2.0 screenshots leaked

Is there a better way to start a Monday morning than with a nice juicy helping from the Internet Rumour Mill?

The Palm-centric blog PreCentral managed to unearth some news of two new devices, listed in the databases of TÜV Rheinland. While these guys might sound like the operating franchise of a trans-European railway, they’re actually the people who blew the whistle on the Palm Pre Plus and Pre Pixi earlier in the year.

The devices appear to be GSM and CDMA versions of a yet-to-be named phone and a ‘Battery Charger’, which may or may not be a new Touchstone.

Gizmodo has published what appears to be screenshots of a new and improved webOS 2.0; everything looks a bit sharper and tidier than before, but nothing really revolutionary. But then we really really like webOS anyway. As they say if it ain’t broke…

We contacted Palm asking for more information and we’re waiting to hear back. We’ll keep you posted once we hear something.
