Panasonic launches Viera tablets

Panasonic has entered into the 2011 tablet landscape with a newly announced set of devices at CES.

Little mention was given to the tablet at Panasonic’s press conference at CES earlier this week. But visitors to the stand were treated to a demonstration of three brand new tablet devices from the Japanese electronics giant.

Tablet computers
and smartphones have formed the majority of announcements at this years CES show.

The Viera tablets are to come in three different sizes; 4, 7, and 10-inch.  All of the devices are set to run Android 2.2 and designed to pair with Panasonic’s Viera TVs. They will act primarily as a means to interact with the recently announced Panasonic IPTV and as a touch-screen remote control.

Currently the tablets have no access to the Android market, but do however come with their own Viera market to download applications.
