PlayStation Phone: To come in Orange?

Orange will be the first network to offer the not-announced-but-still-forthcoming PlayStation phone, which some are calling Xperia Play.

According to industry sources, only Orange will be stocking the highly anticipated Android phone, possibly on their premium brand. (Read; pricey monthly contract.)

Recently revealed through a series of photo galleries and hands-on previews from China, the phone promises to be more powerful than current PSPs, with a four-inch touchscreen and PlayStation-style slide-out controls, running Android 2.3 through a 1Ghz processor.

It’ll also carry a front and back camera, the latter being five-megapixels with LED flash. We’ve seen Resident Evil 2 being played on it as a naughty ROM, but nothing yet from the PSP back catalogue.

We’re hoping to get our hands on those bizarre trackpad analog sticks next month at Mobile World Congress, where it’s expected to be officially announced.
