Good news for wireless charging fans, Powermat has launched the Powerpak – a battery that does away with the need for housing your handset in the ugly receiver case of old. Simply pop the battery into your HTC, Blackberry, Nokia, LG, Samsung, Motorola or Sony Ericsson handset and place it on the mat to charge it up.
iPhone users aren’t quite so lucky; no swappable batteries for you. But Powermat has revealed a new silicone case and extended battery case receiver specially for the Jesus phone. So you won’t have to worry about those pesky wires either – except that pesky wire from the mat to the mains, of course.
No news on when the new Powermat line up will be available yet but we’ll keep you posted.
