For this year’s Recombu Awards we’ve also thrown the vote out to you, the readers.
As a way of saying thank you for taking part in the voting process we’re giving away an Apple iPhone 6. The lucky winner will be contacted in due course but until then, here’s three other winners from the night which have been chosen for by you guys.
Without further ado, read on to find out who scooped the Recombu Awards 2014: Reader Awards for Best Mobile Phone Network, Best Broadband or TV Provider and Best Car Manufacturer.
Best Mobile Phone Network 2014 Reader Award: EE
Once again the people have voted EE best network for 2014 and perhaps it’s no surprise. Now offering 4G to over 250 UK towns, rolling out an LTE-A upgrade with average download speeds of 90Mbps and new initiatives like EE TV offered free to home subscribers, you can’t find a better service from any other UK network.
Best Broadband or TV Provider 2014: Sky
Whether it’s live and exclusive premier league football, the latest movies, exclusive cutting edge drama, the ability to watch TV channels on up to four mobile devices, superfast broadband delivering download speeds of up to 76Mbps or the UK’s largest catch-up and on-demand library… for some reason – or maybe it’s all of the above reasons – our readers overwhelmingly voted for Sky as the best broadband and TV provider for the 2014 Recombu Reader Awards.
Best Car Manufacturer 2014: BMW
Readers voted BMW as their favourite car manufacturer and we can understand why. It showed the world how to build an electric car in the form of the i3 supermini. Then it came out with a hybrid supercar unlike anything else before it and introduced more models in one year than some of its rivals have in total. Tip-top sales figures from BMW and sister company Mini only highlight why BMW is worthy of our Best Car Manufacturer 2014 award.
Thanks again to all who voted and thanks for reading. You can check out the other winners here, here and here. Stick around for the rest of 2014 and beyond for more exclusive hands-on reviews, opinionated opinion pieces and eyebrow-raising videos.
