Rumour: Samsung Galaxy S+; Samsung Galaxy family becomes a clan

We’re not sure if we can continue to call Samsung’s range of Galaxy-branded phones a family, but a rumoured latest addition has arrived; apparently called the Samsung Galaxy S+.

Not to be confused with the Galaxy SL, an LCD version of the Galaxy S, the phone looks to be a specification upgrade from the one year-old original.

It doesn’t divert from the Galaxy design spec; a thinnish black phone with a rounded edges, but there will now be a faster, impressive 1.4 GHz processor; which we’re very interested in comparing with Samsung’s flag-ship, dual-cored Galaxy S II- said to be coming in the next few months.

The Galaxy S Plus will have Samsung’s Super AMOLED display, measuring four inches, and a bigger battery to give more juice to the bigger processing guts.

According to Samsung Russia’s Livejournal blog, who revealed these details, the phone should be available by the end of April 2011 for around 23,990 rubles- around £525.
