Carphone Warehouse will reportedly bring Samsung’s Galaxy Note Edge to the UK, great news if you’re a fan of phablets and weird innovative tech.
When Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note Edge back in September, the Korean firm seemed keen to make it clear that the device would be getting a limited release. For a while we were unsure whether the device would even reach blighty, especially after rumours of a November 14th release came and went with not so much of a hint of anything.
However, an image leaked by high street retailer Carphone Warehouse appears to confirm that the device will be landing in the UK after all.
The mysterious photo, taken of an internal computer system which informs staff of new devices available in the coming months, was posted to Pocket Lint but swiftly removed due to (not so) unknown reasons.
Samsung’s Galaxy Note Edge has a 5.6-inch Super AMOLED screen which wraps around the side of the device, allowing users to see notifications even when the phone is face-down on a table, or access shortcuts while in an app. The Note Edge isn’t all form over function though – the phablet also offers a 2.7 GHz quad-core processor, 3GB RAM, a 16-megapixel primary camera and a 3,000mAh battery.
Perhaps unsurprisingly there’s been no confirmation from Carphone Warehouse on whether the leaked image is genuine, or indeed if they will be selling the device, but we’d imagine Samsung’s phablet will emerge sooner rather than later, as the holiday season is almost upon us.
Reports suggest that the Galaxy Note Edge will now hit British stores from November 28th, though there’s no solid confirmation on that or price yet.
