Samsung Galaxy S 2011 Edition to be released in Europe, but not in UK

The Samsung Galaxy S 2011 Edition, a souped-up Galaxy S with a 1.4 Ghz processor, will arrive soon in the Netherlands, but won’t arrive in the UK.

A Samsung spokesperson told Recombu the sad news; it’s another phone to confuse tech fans struggling to keep a handle on that increasingly proliferate Samsung Galaxy phone family.

The Android Smartphone, which is both the same size and weight of the original, is already available in Russia and Korea.

It has a four-inch Super AMOLED screen, and arrives with Android Gingerbread (2.3), and a larger 1650mAh battery- which should mean more time using, and less time charging for our continental cousins.

Whilst several may whinge that we’re not going to get our hands on this Galaxy S 2011, the Galaxy  SII is now available whilst the original Galaxy S is, slowly, receiving Android updates to bring the phone a Gingerbread flavour. Vodafone has already made their update available here.
