Samsung Galaxy S Advance price and Sony Xperia S price at Carphone Warehouse revealed

Samsung’s dual-core mid-ranger the Samsung Galaxy S Advance will be heading to contracts via Carphone Warehouse at the end of the month starting at £21 a month.

The Samsung Galaxy S Advance comes with a 4-inch screen that’s got a 800×480 (WVGA) resolution and is a Super AMOLED type screen. This equals great levels of contrast and outdoor legibility.

The Samsung Galaxy S Advance has a 5-megapixel camera that can shoot 720p HD video and will come in 8GB and 16GB versions. Running Android 2.3 Gingerbread and powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor with 768MB of RAM, we’re expecting the Samsung Galaxy S Advance to be smooth as silk.

No word on if Carphone Warehouse will be selling both the 8GB and the 16GB editions, just the announcement that it’s coming to Carphone from ‘late March’ – again, no word on an exact release date but we’ll update once we know more.

Coming on like a miniature version of the Samsung Galaxy S2, the early Galaxy S Advance hands-on we got at Mobile World Congress 2012 impressed. It’ll be interesting to see how the Samsung Galaxy S Advance compares to 2011 year’s Android phone of the year – stay tuned for our review coming soon.

Sony Xperia S for £26 a month

The Sony Xperia S which we recently reviewed will be going for £26 a month on contract. The 12-megapixel camera of the Xperia S is incredibly fast and responsive, capable of taking some seriously detailed stills, beating the cameraphone heavyweights of yesteryear hands down.

The Sony Xperia S is Sony’s most stylish phone to date as well, boasting smooth curves and a smoky UI that’s packed with useful apps and features. It’s easily our favourite phone to date; check out our unboxing video and hands-on pics here.
