Samsung must be a pretty happy right now as its latest smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S3, has managed to stir up a frenzy of excitement previously only seen at an Apple iPhone or iPad launch and has racked up a very impressive 9 million pre-orders thus far.

The third-generation version of its Galaxy series will be launched in more then 100 carriers globally from 30th May. The Korean Economic Daily (via Reuters) has reported that Samsung’s smartphone factory in South Korea is running at full capacity, which is a mouthwatering 5 million units per month. Hopefully Sammy will be able to match global demand for the new device then.
