The wait is over, the shop doors have opened to crowds of eager fans, itching to get their hands on the latest Android smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S3 and we’re here to bring you our thoughts on this powerful new device before you take a trip to your nearest retailer.
The S3 was unveiled at the start of May in the midst of Samsung’s Unpacked event which took place in central London. Between then and now, we’ve been spending some quality time assessing the S3, which has a lot to live up to in light of the successes its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy S2 saw last year.
The Galaxy S3 is a beautiful Android ICS device with a large 4.8-inch HD SuperAMOLED display. Add to that a wealth of connectivity options including DC-HSPA 3G connectivity (which is currently so new it’s only supported in a handful of UK locales) and you have a serious contender for the most advanced, capable device on the market.
Samsung is also the second manufacturer to bring a quad-core smartphone to market, taking on the Tegra 3-powered HTC One X with their own Exynos 4 quad chipset, so check out our video review to see how it stacks up and if it’s worth your hard earned cash.
