Samsung Galaxy S4 unboxing video

The Samsung Galaxy S4 faces stiff competition from the HTC One and Sony Xperia Z, but one thing it definitely wins is the prize for the best box on the scene. Garnished by a host of eco-friendly accreditations and printed with soy ink, the faux wood texture package looks surprisingly un-Samsung.

As for box contents, you can expect to find a usual array of cables and leaflets. Remove the cover and the first thing to greet you will be the phone itself. Full HD 5-inch Super AMOLED display, 1.9GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor and 13-megapixel camera in tow.

Pull out the phone and you’ll soon realise the skinny little thing is just 7.9mm thin, the same thickness a the Sony Xperia Z. The Galaxy S4 is also plastic, which, while not the most premium material does ensure that it’s light and sits well in the hand.

Speaking of how it feels in the hand, with more pronounced sides than its predecessor, while it doesn’t look quite as elegant, it feels a lot less dropable; but we digress – lets get back to the box.

Under the phone is a host of paper, again, printed using soy ink. These include a simple start up guide complete with pictures, a comprehensive phone manual and a warranty card.

Finally, the remaining box contents are found underneath, a microUSB cable, power plug and headphones, complete with a set of earbuds.

Standard, simple and attractively put together, we present you: The Samsung Galaxy S4 box.
