Carphone Warehouse has noted a huge increase in consumer interest for Samsung’s Galaxy S5 compared with last year’s Galaxy S4 smartphone.
There’s been a lot of mixed feedback from Recombu readers on the new Samsung Galaxy S5, but any doubts as to the flagship phone’s popularity appear to have been dashed by Carphone Warehouse. The retailer just announced a massive increase in customers pre-registering for info and deals on the Galaxy S5 compared with the Galaxy S4, in much less time.
Pre-registration figures are up 130% in just a few days compared with the Galaxy S4’s total ten-day registration. Of course, not all of those that registered their interest will necessarily go on to buy the new Galaxy S5 phone, but it’s certainly promising news for Samsung, who was openly disappointed with Galaxy S4 sales.
