Announced today, the Samsung Genio Slide features a slide-out Qwerty keyboard as well as a touchscreen – like a mash-up of the Samsung Genio Touch and the Genio Qwerty. Available exclusively on Vodafone for its first month of release, it also features a 3-megapixel camera for stills and video, Wi-Fi, super-fast 3G/HSDPA, GPS and an FM radio tuner.
The Genio Slide is also compatible with BBC iPlayer which is a nice add-on, and also has easy access to the major social networking sites so updating your status or uploading pictures is nice and simple. Intended for bright young things, the battery cover is also interchangeable so you can update your phone to fit your mood.
Vodafone is selling the Genio Slide on a 24-month contract; the handset is free, with a monthly tariff of £20. This includes 75 minutes of talking and 250 texts per month.
