Scott Pilgrim vs Your Android phone: e-comic now available

Coinciding with the recently released movie come the first five Scott Pilgrim e-comics to the Android Market.

You can download the first chapter of volume one for free – which introduces you to the series and how the e-comics work – and all the other volumes cost £3.49 each. The volumes are quite big (volume one is 39MB for example), so check your memory beforehand and download over Wi-Fi if you can.

HarperCollins and Robot Media have done a great job of bringing the series to mobiles. You can pinch to zoom to view full pages, or flick between individual panels. Auto bookmarking allows you to pick up where you left off and you can skip between chapters just like with an ebook reader.

We like that the title screen of each volume plays a short MP3 of sloppy rock ‘n roll soloing, but if you want you can assign your own music to the title screen, if you’d rather listen to Beck or Anamanaguchi as you read.

It’s worth noting that there are several secrets to be found in the pages which will unlock character sketches and other artwork, and a community section where you can chat with other Pilgrim fans.
