Siri and Bluetooth not working on iPhone 6s? Here’s a quick fix

Bluetooth and Siri not working on iPhone 6s? Here’s how to fix both issues.

So you’ve splashed out on a brand new iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus and everything’s going great – save for a couple of huge issues: The Bluetooth doesn’t work, and neither does Siri. Well there’s no need to suffer in silence. We had the same issues and managed to fix them pretty easily.

The Bluetooth issue can be hugely frustrating. On our sample iPhone 6s Plus, tapping the Bluetooth option in the Settings menu would cause the phone to become completely unresponsive, the only fix being to double tap the home button and swipe up on the settings app to kill it.

It was possible to enable or disable Bluetooth by swiping up on the main menu to reveal control centre, but this, of course, doesn’t allow you to pair with a specific device.

As for Siri not working, that was slightly less problematic, but problematic nontheless. Tapping into Settings, then General, then Siri would reveal a Siri toggle switch that was completely unresponsive to touch.

The solution to both these issues, we discovered, was to perform a hard reset. Press and hold the home button (the physical button below the screen) then hold the power button. The phone will then reset and, all being well, your Siri and Bluetooth issues should be resolved.
