Sony Ericsson Xperia Play: What’s in the box?

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play has finally arrived and boy are we excited. You may remember a brief hands-on with Crash Bandicoot earlier last week. Well now it looks like we have the handset on a more permanent basis, expect an in depth review in the not too distant future.

The Xperia Play sits neatly in its box with the majority of gubbins stored in the top lid. Below is a charger with headphones and paperwork.

The Xperia Play has a dedicated search button unlike the Arc and is slightly thicker and weightier. Things are solid with a nice slide action on the gamepad.

The Xperia Play’s gamepad is very much the star of the show (obviously). The analogue pads and d-pad are really well made and the PlayStation buttons have a satisfying click

The top of the Xperia Play has a micro USB slot and headphone input. Like the Arc they are situated on the side of the handset.

On top of the phone is a volume rocker and the L + R buttons you need to play PlayStation pocket apps.

There she is…..Crash Bandicoot all ready to be fired up and gamed with on the Xperia Play

Inside the box is a wall charger with attacheable USB cable so you can transfer data from phone to PC
