In an attempt to steal some of Nokia’s thunder, Sony Ericsson has just announced the Xperia X2, a Windows Mobile (6.5) phone that will be available from Vodafone soon. Successor to the ambitious but ultimately disappointing Xperia X1, the X2 boasts an 8-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, HSDPA (3.5G) and GPS.
As you can see in the picture it comes with a full Qwerty keypad and according to Sony Ericsson the X2 uses a new 3D panel interface. We really want this to be good but we won’t get too excited just yet as the X1 was a real disappointment. We should be getting an X2 in the near future so expect a full review soon.
