Sony’s giving you even more options to record and stream your life online, with its new Live on YouTube app for the Xperia Z2 smartphone.
If you’ve always wanted to show off how marvellous your life is, Sony’s Xperia Z2 is the smartphone for you. You can already stream your world live to Facebook using the Xperia Z2’s ‘Social Live’ camera feature, and now you can also annoy followers on YouTube with constant videos of your cat sleeping or your baby dribbling, thanks to the new Live on YouTube app.
Live on YouTube works in a very similar fashion as Social Live, with you streaming from the Xperia Z2’s rear camera at just the push of a button. Other users can like and comment as your live broadcast goes on, and you can make your video private if you don’t want any old YouTuber having a gander. At the moment it only supports 480p video, with no HD or 4K support, but we’re sure Sony will update soon with more options and features.
You can download Live on YouTube right now via Google Play, or by opening the Xperia Z2’s camera and selecting ‘+Apps’ within the menu.
