The Xperia L is one of two new Android smartphones announced by Sony Mobile, it’s a mid-range phone offering advanced camera features
Running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, with a 4.3-inch FWVGA screen, in common with the newly confirmed Sony Xperia SP, the Xperia L is available in white, red and black.
The 8-megapixel camera includes Sony’s Exmor RS for mobile sensor, which is typically found on pricier models, along with HDR mode to help reveal shadow and highlight detail in still photographs and video. UK retailers Expansys has just revealed it will be selling the Xperia L from late April for £239.99 SIM-free.

The Sony Xperia L sits in the middle of the range, under the Sony Xperia Z and Sony Xperia SP, but above the Sony Xperia E.
How much will the Sony Xperia L cost?
Sony has not confirmed UK pricing for the Xperia L, but considering it’s mid-range feature set, we can’t imagine it being too expensive.
Expansys has just announced it’s SIM-free pricing, the phone will cost £239.99, which pits it against the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini, which has a smaller screen and 5-megapixel camera.
When does the Sony Xperia L launch?
The Sony Xperia SL will be hitting the high street in Q2 2013, there’s no news yet on UK network availability, but Expansys will be selling the phone from late April.
