Sony Xperia S coming to Orange

Orange has confirmed it will be selling the Sony Xpera S. Officially confirmed this week at CES, the Sony Xperia S is the first phone released under the pure Sony moniker.

O2 and Three have already announced they will be selling the phone and now Orange has joined the party. Although an Orange spokesperson could give us no indication of when we can expect the phone or how much it may be.

It has a generous 4.3-inch screen, with a resolution of 1280x720p and is powered by a Qualcomm MSM8260 processor.

Sony Ericsson’s handsets have traditionally had excellent cameras and the Xperia S looks to continue that tradition, with a 12-megapixel camera that can take a shot less than 2-seconds after turning in on the phone. Movies are catered for too, it captures full HD 1080p video and even the front camera shoots in 720p HD, which you can view on an HD TV via the HDMI port.

We had some hands-on time with the phone at CES in Las Vegas, so check out the video underneath for our first impressions.

We’ll bring you more news of availability of the Xperia S as soon as we get it.
