Sony Xperia S: Unboxing video and hands-on pictures

Lucky enough to get our hands on a black Sony Xperia S, the first dual-core smartphone from the Japanese manufacturer and the first Xperia handset to have the Sony-sans-Ericsson branding, we felt it our obligation to film an unboxing video to go with it. The box as you can see above and in the video below carries much more of a minimalist design than the Sony Ericsson boxes of old. Flat and clean, it looks sharp on the front with little distraction from the image of the angular Sony Xperia S.

On the reverse are a list of features that adorn the handset such as PlayStation Certification, a mobile Bravia engine, 3D Sweep Panorama support, xLoud as well as Exmor R for Mobile.

Also part of the NXT series, we’ll be getting hands-on time with the Sony Xperia P and U later today and should have the review of the S up soon. In the meantime, this unboxing video should whet your appetites for what’s to come:
