Space Grey iPhone 6 photographed in the wild

We get the most complete picture of what the iPhone 6 could look like so far, and in Space Grey no less.

We’ve already seen the new iOS 8 revealed in full, but it’s still a couple of months until the Apple iPhone 6 launches. Details about them are thin on the ground, but a leak posted on Chinese social media site Weibo appears to show a dummy model of the 4.7-inch version of Apple’s latest phone, and as you’d expect, it looks all shiny and lovely.

The image posted shows a the device – believed to be a unit for accessory manufacturers to test their products on, rater than a working unit, alongside an iPhone 5S and an HTC One (M8).

The image clearly shows how big the new device will be, as well as confirming the presence of a side-mounted sleep/wake button. This is likely for the benefit of users with smaller hands, who would struggle ergonomically with the larger screened device.

The back of a handset shows a camera lens tightly integrated with the chassis, dispelling earlier rumors of a protruding camera lens that would integrate a larger sensor, or higher quality optics.

Further details about the device are scant. It will almost certainly carry Apple’s latest iOS 8 software, which was unveiled earlier this month at the World Wide Developer conference. It will also likely come with a 64-bit Apple A8 processor, which was first introduced with the iPhone 5s and 5c.

Final details about the device will emerge at an upcoming Apple launch that is expected to take place in September. Until then, check out everything we know about the iPhone 6.
