The Sky Go app is now available on Apple’s app store, and can be downloaded to the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. You’ll need a WiFi signal to get a half-decent picture, but it will apparently work through your 3G signal, if it’s strong enough.
Joining together the existing Sky Mobile TV app and PC-based Sky Player into a single app, it joins your own Sky subscription to your iDevice, making it possible to watch live sports and stream films-depending on what you subscribe to.
Channels available include Sky News, the Sky Sport channel package and a range of Sky Movies channels- with the promise of more channels in the future.
The app is free to download, but if you haven’t got a Sky subscription, or if you’re more of an Android fan, there are still plenty of ways to stream TV onto your smartphone or tablet.
