T-Mobile HTC Desire pops up online in black

The HTC Desire is available to order from T-Mobile now. The Sense-sational Android phone features a large 3.7-inch AMOLED screen, a 5-megapixel camera and a powerful 1Ghz Snapdragon processor.

You can now get the HTC Desire for free on a 24 month contract for £35 a month, or on an 18 month contract for £40 a month.

The £35 [24 months] and £40 [18 months] deals give you 1200 minutes and 500 texts along with unlimited internet access.

If you don’t want to commit to a 24 month contract, you can get the Desire on an 18 month contract for £35/month, but you’ll have to pay £60 for the handset. You only get 900 minutes compared to the 1200 of the 24 month equivalent, but you get the same amount of messages and unlimited net access.

It’s worth noting that unlimited internet net use comes bundled with all of the T-Mobile contracts on offer – even the cheaper ones. ‘Unlimited’ internet acces comes with a 3GB a month fair use policy.

The HTC Desire is also available on cheaper contracts, however the cost of the handset rises sharply. You can get the HTC Desire for £10/month on 24 month contract (100 minutes and 100 texts), for example, but the handset will set you back £164.

The T-Mobile Desire is only available in black – no sign yet of that silver Desire we saw last week. T-Mobile mentions a seven day maximum wait on deliveries, so if you ordered it today it should get to you by next Monday at the latest. You’ll notice though that if you go through to the checkout, T-Mobile also says that if it receives your order by 5pm today, then your Desire should get out to you “within 2 working days” or this Wednesday. We’re chasing this up now so be sure to check back soon for an update.

Update: T-Mobile just confirmed that anyone placing an order for an HTC Desire this week will either receive it over the weekend or early next week.
