Last week Rolling Stone Magazine announced that it is to release an iPad version of its popular book on the Beatles; The Beatles: The Ultimate Album-by-Album Guide book. The paper version was released this summer and the app costs around the same as the physical book – $9.99. It is available from the US Apple App Store now and sure to follow suit in the UK soon.
The iPad app version will feature all the content the paper version does, including reviews and background information on the band, set out over 122 pages and lit up with a plethora of photos of the group. It also contains a number of interviews from James Taylor, Liam Gallagher and many more. In addition to the paper-back content, the app will also include 30 second iTunes previews for every Beatles album song with links to purchase the material direct from iTunes.
No mention of any other platforms for this app and so it is just iPad for now, sorry Androids.
