We’re already well aware of the EU Commission in the process of initiating plans to reduce international roaming costs for mobile users, which will result in a progressive drop over the next two years on calling, SMS and MBs of mobile data costs. In the meantime however, Three is the latest network to offer unique benefits to customers who like to roam.
With Vodafone yesterday revealing its EuroTraveller scheme. Three, a carrier with tariffs that focus on mobile data, is introducing a new service dubbed the Euro Internet Pass. Available with immediate effect, this new service offers Three’s pay monthly customers the opportunity to use their standard All-you-can-eat data allowance, for just £5 a day.
Aside from the impressive value, this means customers will be able to tweet, browse, email and share to their heart’s content without worrying about excessive data bills at the end of it. Of course over an extended period you might want to think about a local SIM, but for short jaunts across over the mountains, this deal looks pretty good.
Three have provided a full list of countries which qualify for the Euro Internet Pass, they are as follows: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal (including The Azores and Madeira) Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain (incl. Balearic Islands and Canary Islands), Sweden, Vatican City & Monaco, phew.
