Recombu has resolved to get on top of its Yuletide shopping this year. Bitter experiences have taught us not to leave things to the last minute. With this in mind we’ve cast a festive eye over some of the best mobile deals available right now, starting with ten pay-as-you-go picks. So if you’re stuck for a stocking filler then have a quick glance at the deals below.

LG Cookie – £48.95 from Carphone Warehouse

This stylish yet inexpensive touchscreen phone would look good under anyone’s Christmas tree. The Cookie may not have Wi-Fi, 3G or GPS but it does have its own music player and social networking widgets that should keep you up to date with all your friends over the festive period. Link to deal

BlackBerry Curve 8520 – £179 from Orange

Nokia 2330 – £19.95 from Carphone Warehouse

Samsung Genio Touch – £78.28 from O2

With its interchangeable covers and widgets for Facebook, Bebo, Twitter and MySpace the Genio Touch could liven up those interminable Christmas afternoons. It even comes with a free exclusive Madonna gift pack worth £15. The Genio Touch is available on O2 for a very reasonable £78.28. Link to deal

Nokia 2680 – £19.90 from Mobiles.co.uk

The small and stylish Nokia 2680 is petite enough to fit in a Christmas stocking and will satisfy even the hardest Christmas bargain hunter. It’s quite light on features but does the basics well. It has a built in FM radio and MP3 player but with only 32MB of onboard memory you won’t be able to fit in many festive hits. Link to deal

Sony Ericsson T715 – £99 from 3

When bought on 3, the Sony Ericsson T715 comes with a pre-installed Twitter app allowing you to tweet on the move. There’s a Facebook app so you can upload pics and videos to your profiles, and you can even use the T715 to make Skype calls. Other features include a 3.2-megapixel camera with an LED flash. TopUp and Go from Vodafone operates like PAYG does on mobiles. There’s no 30-day expiry on top-ups, meaning you can use your credit whenever you want. Top ups are available from £15 per GB – ideal if you need to check and send the occasional email on the train ride home. Link to deal

SIM 15 – £15 from 3

For £15 a month on 3, you get 300 minutes and unlimited messages. While you can get twice the number of minutes with unlimited texts for the same money on Vodafone, this SIM-only deal from 3 only ties you to a 1 month contract.
