Toshiba AT270: Hands-on pictures

Though we weren’t around in time to get around with the Toshiba AT270 at the Nvidia event last night, we did get a chance to at least fondle its outside bits. Our friends at SlashGear have already got the skinny on what’s inside though; Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich vanilla and unskinned, Nvidia’s Tegra 3 quad-core/4-PLUS-1 core CPU and 1GB of RAM.

There’s micro USB and micro Sd ports round on the side, a camera with a single LED flash – no telling what size the sensor is – and some connections at the base that look like the Toshiba AT270 will play ball with a some kind of docks at some point.

The textured aluminium backing is indeed very nice to the touch. The cool metallic feel is complimented by the cross hatch pattern on the back which gives it a solid, industrial look and feel. It’s incredibly lightweight for all this and is super-thin. As we noted before, the 3.5mm headphone jack can barely fit in the frame, giving you an indication of how slim this Toshiba tab is.

We’ve yet to find out any more information on this and the guys at Nvidia we spoke to last night remained tight lipped. We’ll forgive them though, as they showed us how we could kill dragons with an Asus Transformer Prime using Splashtop THD.
