Vimeo app launches on Windows Phone Marketplace

Online video service for the cool kids Vimeo, has officially launched an app for Windows Phone. The app allows users to upload, including in HD, and manage their videos via their phone, whilst of course also watching videos uploaded to the service. The app is set out to allow users to search for videos and view a list of featured videos to promote new discoveries.

Fans can also cue up videos to watch later, check out their inbox and show appreciation for your fellow Vimeo users by liking and commenting on their videos. Sharing videos couldn’t be easier with direct Facebook and Twitter integration, as well as the ability to send via email and SMS.

Given the absence of YouTube on Windows Phones, this gives Vimeo free reign over video lovers on the platform.

The app is available to Windows Phone Mango users and can be downloaded free via the Windows Phone Marketplace.
