Virgin Media HTC Desire and Wildfire to get Android 2.2 in September

Another week, another network getting us all in a fluster about updating its HTC Desires to Android 2.2 (Froyo).

This time it’s Virgin Media, which revealed update timings for both the HTC Desire and HTC Wildfire through the medium of Twitter. As you can see above, the exact wording is: “HTC Desire and HTC Wildfire – great news, we’re expecting to release OTA updates to 2.2 (Froyo) early Sep :)”

So woo and indeed hoo if you are an HTC-owning Virgin Media customer, within four weeks you should be all froyo’d up. Get yourselves all hot under the collar with a reminder of what goodies you can expect from Android 2.2 here.
