Virgin recruits the Sony Ericsson X10 and HTC Desire

Virgin Media has been quietly building up an army of Android phones. Joining the LG InTouch Max and the Samsung Galaxy Portal next month are the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 and the lovely HTC Desire.

The X10 is Sony Ericsson’s first Android phone and features a huge 4-inch screen, an 8-megapixel camera and social network network aggregation (Timescape).

HTC’s Desire boasts a smaller 3.7-inch screen and only packs a 5-megapixel camera but it comes with HTC’s superb Sense UI, which makes Android a lot more user friendly.

We’re told that both the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 and HTC Desire will be available on a range of “compelling tariffs”. Hopefully the tariffs for the HTC Desire will be a bit more compelling than the ones on Carphone Warehouse. All tariffs for the LG InTouch Max and the Samsung Galaxy Portal feature unlimited mobile internet, so we’re assuming you’ll get it for the Xperia X10 and the Desire.
