If you’re a customer of, or thinking of switching to the big red quotation mark and you’re a big consumer of videos or other data-heavy services on the go, you’ll be pleased to hear that the carrier is upping data allowances on its 4G plans.
Announced earlier today, Vodafone’s growing 4G network will now support a variety of plans for pay monthly customers packing greater amounts of data. These new plans are designed to appease power users who felt stifled by the meagre offerings previously available in comparison to rival networks like Three and signals the end of the carrier’s long-term 3G tariffs.
Voda’s latest Standard, Red and Red Value 4G bundles start at £17, £26 and £26 respectively, whilst those looking to nab a Samsung Galaxy S6 will receive 4GB of 4G data a month, for £44 a month (24 month plan) when they trade in an existing Galaxy handset.
Those after the swankier Galaxy S6 Edge will have to fork out £54 a month (on a 24 month plan) and pay a £9 upfront cost, but receive 8GB of 4G data a month in return when they too trade in an existing Galaxy phone. Those after the new HTC One M9 can pre-order it through Voda and expect the same pricing and allowances as if they’d opted for the vanilla Galaxy S6.
The beauty of Vodafone’s Red Value bundles is that they include offerings of Spotify Premium, NOW TV and Sky Sports for those who want to make the most of all that extra ‘leg room’ (that is to say, 4G data). For £3 a day, the carrier is also bolstering its Europe Zone offering which will let you use your regular allowance, as if you were in the UK in select European locations.
To round things off customers can also make use of the company’s Fixed Price Promise, which will ensure that you won’t receive any price hikes for the duration of your original plan, which in most new customer’s cases will likely be a span of 24 months.
